Our Farm

Our family history at Treleague Farm began in 1965 when Jimmy and Margaret Green got married and moved here as tenant farmers.

Nigel was born a year later, to followed by Stephen and then Emma completed the family.

Jimmy and Margaret grew the farm over the years and later had an opportunity to buy the farm, which they grasped with both hands.

Over time it became clear that Stephen wanted to be farmer and began working on the farm after leaving school.

After getting married to Judith, Stephen joined the farm partnership and started a family of his own, and now has four grown-up children:  James, Robbie, Jack and Lucy.

Robbie wants to follow in his father’s footsteps and so he joined the farm after leaving school.

Sadly Jimmy passed away in 2012, but Margaret is still very much involved both with the farm and the dairy.

Margaret is our “Nana” who makes all the cakes and scones and can often be found in the farm shop talking to customers, which she loves to do.

Here we are today, with the third generation of our family farming at Treleague.

Robbie brings many new skills to the farm business and we are all  working hard and gradually diversifying to make the farm work in this ever changing world.

This photo shows Stephen doing the milking, showing a party of school children how the milking machine works, and how our cows are milked.
